alapaap is a cloud, web, and SEO studio operated from Manila, Philippines. For the purposes of the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), alapaap acts as the personal information controller for data collected through this website.

2. What we collect

When you visit alapaap.io, we may collect:

  • Technical data: IP address, user-agent string, device type, browser, operating system, the page you visited, the page that referred you, and the time of your visit. Collected automatically through our hosting (Vercel), Vercel Analytics, and Google Analytics 4.
  • Communications: if you email us at hello@alapaap.io, we receive the content of your message and any contact details you provide (name, email, phone, business details).
  • Cookies and similar technology: Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<ID>) to distinguish unique visitors and sessions for traffic analytics. These cookies persist for up to two years and do not identify you personally to alapaap. Our other analytics provider, Vercel Analytics, is cookie-free.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometrics, or financial account data) through this website.

4. Why we collect it

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, we process information for the following purposes:

  • Operating and securing the website — legitimate interest in delivering pages, preventing abuse, and maintaining uptime.
  • Understanding aggregate site usage — legitimate interest in measuring which pages are visited so we can improve the site.
  • Responding to your inquiries — performance of pre-contractual measures, or legitimate interest depending on context.

6. Cross-border data transfers

Our service providers are based outside the Philippines. By using this website or contacting us, you understand that your data may be transferred to, processed, and stored in countries outside the Philippines, including the United States. These transfers are subject to the contractual and technical safeguards required of each provider.

7. Data retention

  • Server logs and Vercel Analytics are retained according to Vercel's default retention windows. Vercel Analytics typically retains raw events for about 30 days, and aggregated counts longer.
  • Google Analytics 4 user-level and event-level data is retained for the period configured in our GA4 property settings (Google's default is two months, configurable up to fourteen). Cookie expiry is up to two years.
  • Inquiry emails are retained as long as necessary to respond and follow up, plus a reasonable archival period for record-keeping.

8. Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:

  • Be informed of the collection and processing of your data
  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Object to processing or request correction of inaccurate data
  • Have your data erased or blocked in certain circumstances
  • Request data portability where applicable
  • File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph)
  • Claim damages if your rights are violated

9. Children's privacy
