Who we are

A studio built on production habits.

Cloud people who learned design, not the inverse. Engineered foundations for small businesses that need to be found online. From a studio in the Philippines, working anywhere with an internet connection.

alapaap is named after the Filipino word for cloud. Fitting, because most of the work happens there: the systems that run a business's website, email, and online operations. The studio started here in the Philippines.

Most agencies start with design and add the technical pieces along the way. alapaap started from running the systems behind real businesses, then brought design in from the engineering side. The result is a digital foundation that's reliable, easy to maintain, and built to last. Not held together by quick fixes.

alapaap works with small-to-medium businesses that don't have an online presence yet, or have one that isn't pulling its weight. There's also a pro-bono lane for Philippine animal shelters and the brands that support them. The same work that helps a small business get found online helps a shelter get more donations.

Why we exist

Mission & vision

01Mission

Build and operate the digital foundation small businesses run on.

Engineered with the rigor of a senior cloud and SRE practice, packaged so adoption is fast and the wiring is right from day one. Productize the routine; engineer the rest like real infrastructure.

The inverse of the typical SMB shop: cloud people who learned design, not designers who learned hosting.

02Vision

A real foundation should be something a small business can adopt, not commission.

The way a business adopts Google Workspace: sign up, set up once, run on it. Today, getting that foundation right means commissioning it from scratch — or settling for templates that don't hold up.

alapaap exists to close that gap.

03The shelter program

Three Philippine animal shelters every year receive their public foundation at no cost, in exchange for a published case study, a testimonial, and one warm introduction. The shelter program is permanent, not transitional. Capacity stays bounded by design, so the pro-bono work is delivered to the same standard as the paid work.

How we work

Three principles

Foundations first

Most agencies start with design and bolt on the technical pieces. alapaap starts with the systems a business runs on and brings design in from the engineering side. Reliable beats clever.

Same hands, scope to ship

The team that scopes the work is the team that builds and maintains it. No handoffs to junior staff, no surprise subcontractors. You talk to the people doing the work.

Quiet over loud

No agency-speak, no fake testimonials, no manufactured urgency. The work either solves your problem or it doesn't. That's the only claim worth making.
